No matter of what background, skill, competence, etc. I acquire, I'll never cease feeling incompetent in France.

I hated reading "Vous pouvez appeler lundi 3 juin vers 15 heures pour votre entretien téléphonique." at 14h today. Let's see - a perfectly annoying combination of a formal e-mail in French, asking me to make a formal call. To a person I don't know. In French. But didn't you read my e-mail? I told you I'm coming back to Paris. I asked you to give me an appointment so I can visit you. They pay you to do this job, so read my e-mail carefully, ok? I even made the effort to send it while on sort of vacation, so you too, please make an effort. Salope.

Ah shit. I need to call. Of course stage fright isn't my only problem - I have 2 euro credit left in my mobile... Where is my credit card, I need to recharge my phone, quick quick quick! Let's take a moment to swear at myself for making calls when in roaming last week. Let's also swear at Ryanair for making me gut my bag, swear at myself (again) for not putting away my luggage, swear at my apartment, flat mate, swear at this country, at this life. 

Fuck it all. Should have stayed in Sofia. No, Plovdiv. How about Belgrade? Yeeees, always Belgrade. No, no no, should've gone to Varna - sun, sea and stuff. Or maybe some island. Croatia, that's it! What was I doing? Where the hell is my card?

Of course I found it on time. Like always. Of course I made the call. 

"Ah yes, I see your file - you're calling to make an appointment?"

"Well no in fact I'm calling for a... a... interview, I mean, appointment, the thing you told me, interview by phone." 

"Ah... yes. Can you visit us tomorrow at 16h?" 

"But I'm calling for the interview by phone. Now is supposed to be my appointment, not tomorrow" 

"You're running late?" 

"No. In fact, there were the e-mails, and in your last one... Well, what I'm trying to say is that you told me to do it by phone." 

"Ah no no. I meant you need to call us to make an appointment. Come tomorrow at 16h."
